DAY 1 OF 2026
Hii all, I hope everyone had a good start to 2026. No matter what, day one of the new year gives so much hope and confidence that we can handle the upcoming days gracefully. And so was I expecting Day 1, and I had a few plans too.
But in the morning, I had a severe throat infection. I was able to sense that even while I was half asleep. It’s one of the worst feelings, because with that pain, you realise the next two days with this infection are going to be difficult.
That too on the New Year — can’t taste sweets, can’t watch patimandram, and had to take tablets/home remedies, which were one of the things on my “try to avoid” list.
However, this is how the new year began for me.
But to be honest, I did eat kesari despite having a cold. Amma’s kesari is non-negotiable — it simply cannot be missed. But the remaining day passed on the bed itself, as I slept for a number of hours.
But in the evening, I was sure that somehow I should get up and make it.It was my wish to visit the Sai Baba temple, as it had been a long time, and especially on Thursdays, it’s even more special.
I wore a saree that my grandma gifted me.
I wasn’t really interested in wearing it because of my poor health, but my heart asked me to do so, just to see the best smiles and happiness of my grandma — something one could ever witness.
I was immersed in meditation after entering the temple, and then, after a long time, I got to eat prasadham. It was lemon rice, banana, a Marie Gold biscuit, and tiny pieces of ladoo. That filled both my heart and stomach.
Then I thought, this illness shouldn’t take away my photo time.So I dedicated some time for that, and finally went to bed.
Unlike all these years, this year I haven’t really made any resolutions — like the literal ones, writing them all down.
Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow, I don’t know.
But this time, I feel like rather than just writing it, let me try doing it — take action first — and then record it.This would give a different kind of boost, I believe.
As my friend Rangineetha mentioned in her blog ,action is more important than just saying, so let’s go this way for some time.

I wish that all of us have the same charisma, eagerness, and happiness — not only on Day One, but throughout this year ✨
