Black tea!

Hi all, I’m back, this time with something tastier.

Since childhood, I was never given black tea. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a small town, where I saw a different world, one where people moved toward their work without rushing, where everyone carried both innocence and boldness within them.

I don’t deny the beauty of the city I live in now. I truly believe that every human being carries those beautiful sides, no matter where they are.

Coming back to black tea, I’ve seen men and women begin their day with nothing but black tea. Especially in villages, they would drink it five or six times a day, believing it helped them endure the physical pain of their work. For a long time, I thought this was the only reason.

But then I spoke to my mother.

She told me that in those days, milk wasn’t always easily available in large quantities, regardless of a family’s financial background. Even though most households owned at least one cow, milk was precious. One reason people avoided milk was that they had grown tired of its smell, after spending hours cleaning the cowshed, collecting dung, and extracting milk, it became overwhelming.

Another reason was necessity. Even if milk was available, the quantity was small. A single glass of milk if there was a baby or a young child at home—that glass belonged to them. Adults wouldn’t touch it. Since milk couldn’t be afforded frequently, black tea became the go-to drink to wash away tiredness.

Just a month ago, I finally tried it.

And I must say I’ve become a fan. I absolutely loved it, especially the combination of strong tea leaves and sugar. It was simple, raw, and mouthwatering.

And yesterday I had my second black tea , if you haven't tried yet please do give it a try😁✨
